- HighPoint's Rocke Mate 110 is a removable hard disk drive
case designed to work in conjunction with the Rocket series
of IDE RAID Host adapters.
With RocketMate 110, users' can safely hot-swap a failed
hard disk drive with a fresh hard disk, then recover and
rebuild the damaged RAID array - all without powering down
the computer, or interrupting the computer's operations.
The RocketMate 110 can also be utilized as a stand-alone
removable device bay for use with IDE hard disk drives -
a simple and effective tool for any users' removable storage
needs.
- Unique design ensures reliable transfer rates. With standard
ATA transfer rates approaching 133MB/s, ATA-133 standards
require more efficient signal quality.
When a hard drive case is used to connect a hard disk drive
to a standard IDE cable, it will extend the length of data
transfer, and as a result, lower the quality of the data
transfer. This may jeopardize a drive's stability, and increases
the chance for data errors.
RocketMate110 adopts our patented technology used to design
the internal PCB, which protects the signal quality form
degradation, and ensures reliable transfer rates.
- Enables hot-swapping of drives in a redundant disk array.
Suppose one of the disks used in a redundant RAID array
fails. In order prevent data loss, the failed drive must
be replaced with a fresh hard disk as soon as possible.
The replacement disk allow you to repair and rebuild the
failed disk array.
RocketMate 110 ensures all of the above operations will
be completed quickly and safely, without the need to power
off the system or interrupt the computer's normal functions.
The Rocket Mate's monitoring and alert system will notify
users' in the case of a disk error or hardware failure.
These features are ideal for any applications or fields
where continuous computer service is required, like Internet/Intranet
servers, database servers, etc.
